Well a few years back my sis was living in America- through her work and on the final flight home she contracted chickenpox. She had to be isolated -passengers kept on until she could be vacated safely -then no-one could or would take he from London to Dundee apart from a taxi -it cost her company £400 -so a long way for a short cut-I dont think you would get much out £1000 -but thats just a guesstimate.

Call your local taxi firm and how much they charge per mile.
Then use Google maps and plot route between the two points - check the miles and multiply ...add tip for driver 5% at least.

Hmm -thats true -think they take another driver on a long fare like that so that 2 people youre paying for.
Would be interesting to see what the final figure would be.
Is Rtaxron not a taxi driver or it that a wind up?

There are no restictions on driving hours for taxi drivers. There are two tiypes of vehicle you could take. Hackney Carriage which work by a local tariff and Private Hire Vehicles which work by agreeing a fare for the trip before hand. In both cases, as the journey is beyond the boundaries of the district, the fare must be by agreement beforehand.
