can prescription tablets be taken in hand luggage and is there a limit to the number of them

Yes, they MUST be taken in hand luggage and not suitcases and I don't think there's a limit. I am going away for 3 weeks in October and have 6 different lots to take.

Just make sure they're in the prescription bottle/packet
best to take the repeat prescription form with you as proof they are genuinely prescribed for you or a doctors letter if you are travelling outside the EU.
Hubby is insulin dependent and takes many tablets, and we have been asked for proof in USA and India, once they have seen it we got waved on, never had anyone ask in the EU.
