has anyone been to icmeler ? What did you think of it ?

i came back from icmeler on 7th july,when i was there it was very quiet,and relaxed.
you can get a dolmus to marmaris for 2 lira=80p, which takes 10 mins,and have a wander around there if you like the scene a bit livelier.
icmeler has a lovely beach,and picturesque views.
all music in the bars goes off at 12 midnight-new rules.
the boat trip to dalyan is a must.
do not book any trips with your holiday company as they are more expensive,there are plenty of turkish tour operators there for half the price.
icmeler market is great for bargains,and the sellers are quite funny,and the fresh fruit is lovely.
we went to joes bar,linekers bar,friends bar which is 60,70`s and 80`s bar.stellas bar which is a drag cabaret bar on the beach.
you will find that most bars do have the same entertainment.
bar street in marmaris has indoor discos on till about 4.
we were getting 2.40 lira to the pound.
when are you going?
we stayed at the galeria hotel all inclusive,a dump..but did not let that spoil my hols.

Thanks for the info on the trips etc. I have heard icmeler was quiet, but concerned it would be too quiet, so thanks for peace of mind. Im going in middle of september, staying at Delux hotel 5star apparently ! Ive heard their ratings are a bit different to ours ! what was your rating ? The hotel is all inclusive also, How long is it from the airport?

usually 5* is about 3*.
it took all in all about 3 hrs to get to icmeler.the coach stops off at a lovely little cafe place on the way there for about 20 mins,,about 45 mins into your journey,, and plus you have all the drop offs at the other hotels,as they drop off the people going to marmaris first.
enjoy icmeler,,wish i was going back,,but to a different hotel.
