Blue Ridge Parkway

Virginia/North Carolina that is.

I understand that parts of it can be closed in winter by snow and ice. DAK how late in the year this can happen? For example, by mid-April, would it all be clear?

The NPS website is very unspecific about this unfortunately

I don't know about April; but it's not that high up, and as far as I know it only closes during actual snowfall - it's not under snow long-term. Seems mildly chilly at the moment

To confirm jno's suspicions, the Blue Ridge Mountains are deep into glorious spring by mid-April... Dogwoods and wildflowers are in bloom and everything is rejoicing at the new season!
