Quality Hotel Altrincham

Myself, my hubby and our 3 year old are stopping in this hotel for a night before a long haul flight from Manchester next year. Has anyone stopped there before and should we eat in the hotel's restaurant or is there suitable restaurants for children close by?

Let's hope that the restaurant has improved since 2004, when one reviewer wrote:
"Food hideous and service reminded me of school dinners...old ladies slapping the food down and horrible coffee slopped into the cups!"

The Quality Hotel is actually in Hale, rather than in Altrincham. The Hale Kitchen & Bar looks like it might be a possible alternative eating place. Details of this restaurant, together with several others (including good old 'Pizza Express') can be found here:

I can assure you that the choice of eating places in Hale is absolutely superb. Best by far (although pricey) is The Hale Grill, but you will be spoiled for choice.
