Debts and moving to another European Country...

I'm British but live in Greece teaching English and have no plans to return to the UK. Difficult though it is paying back my Masters loan, Credit Card and overdraft on my wages, I have resigned myself to the fact that debt is a fact of life that I just have to deal with. I pay my debt repayments each month. Due to the facts that one debt has been passed to a collections agency, I missed a few payments on my credit card a while back and I'm an ex-student, my credit rating is LOW. My question is this... If I ever wanted a loan/credit card at some point in the future here in Greece, would my British credit rating follow me or do I have a 'clean slate'?
