Going from Gatwick on 30/11/07, flight is at 9.30AM so check in time is around 6am, thought it might be easier to stay nearby, but dont want to pay a fortune for 7 days parking.
Any recommendations & prices pls, many tks.

http://www.bluedogparking.co.uk/ is a good site. You will find most of the Hotel/parking sites about the same price.
I know you said you didnt want to pay a fortune. But it does make you holiday ifthe start is good too. I reccommend 1 night at the Hilton on site which you walk down a tunnel to the Airport & pay for on stie carpark in the Hethrow NCP wich is right next to the Hilton ...Anything you dont need the next morning just swing by your car before hand.
The Gatwick Hilton, although convenient, is quite expensive and it's nothing special, but there are plenty of hotels very close to the airport that offer free parking for 7 or 15 nights, and a short bus transfer to and from the terminals. You can very often get a room and parking for little more than the cost of parking your car whilst you're away. Type Gatwick hotels parking into google and you'll get lots of choices.

I agree with cockroach. Staying overnight before you travel does start your holiday off well. Rather than unpack holiday luggage, we just take an overnight bag and leave it in our car.

Have a good time.
Lots of park and fly b&b's close by that are cheaper than the hotels and are able to drop and collect guests.

Try a search at http://www.gatwick-guesthouses.co.uk/default.a spx for availablity and rates etc.

have a peachy time...
