I am trying to organise a holiday for myself and a friend in mid-September. We are flying to Amsterdam for a few days and then have another 10 to fill. We are thinking about the possibility of waiting until the last minute, ie, just before we leave the UK or while we are in Holland to book, but am unsure as to the wisdom of this. Has anyone got any advice for us (we are Kiwis working in the UK and are new to this).

Cheers

If you want to go by plane then it's cheaper to buy the tickets in advance. On the other hand, once you're in Amsterdam you could just hop on a train and explore Europe as you like. Renting a car is also an option.

I think you can always get good hotel deals at the last minute.
