Anyone I know of has got their passport changed in advance of getting married and has then travelled in their married name
of course you can why not ? I changed mine when it ran out [ about 1 year later]. But if you are going to get embarrased at hotel check in with different names then get it done before you go or take your wedding cert with you.
what is more important is the name on your air ticket, it has to correspond with your passport.
There is nothing that says you must change your name (why should there be) and it is highly unlikely anyone will care whether you are married or not. Many people, including some in the UK, remain happily married in their original individual names.
Hi......basically the name on your ticket must match the name on your passport. If you booked the ticket with your married name on it but still have your maiden name on your passport you'll need to take your marriage certificate with you as proof of identity. Hope that makes sense.
sorry i just saw that Dee Sa said the same thing so my comments was pointless! Congrats on the wedding and happy honeymoon by the way!
