Gaining residency in New Zealand??

I am starting my conquest to NZ early next year. Anyone that has travelled to NZ on a 2 year working visa and then gained residency, i would be grateful to hear of your success. Is it a straight forwaqrd process,?? stories please.. thanks Lee

Lee we are currently in NZ on a 2 year work visa. We are in the process of applying for our residency. ITs been on the go since end of September last year when we initially made our EOI (expression of interest) and we still havent had our residency confirmed. They have such a backlog at the moment and the fees are going up by very large increase at the end of this month too.

So be prepared for a long wait for processing and its very costly due to all the application/processing/medical fees etc. But good luck coz we love it here.
