I should think so! Texas is about as far south as you can get in the USA, Mount Rushmore is in South Dakota, only one more state then you'd be in Canada! Mount Rushmore is 23 miles from Rapid City. http://www.mtrushmore.net/

I've always wanted to go to Dallas (as I'm interested in the JFK assassination) as well as always wanting to see Mount Rushmore. I was hoping to combine the two into one trip.

Don't underestimate the size of the US. It is IMMENSE!! When I first flew there I was flying to Chicago and got quite excited when we had reached land on the other side of the Atlantic. Not far now I thought....................about 3 hours later we landed!

I worked for a year in America, then my friend and myself packed our possessions into a car, and travelled around for 3 months. When we got to Mount Rushmore it was completely fog-bound and surrounded with snow, and we failed to see any of it...
