Anyone know of any cheap flights late November or early December to Samos from North West airports e.g. Blackpool, Manchester or Liverpool. x

Sorry, I think you're out of luck.

I couldn't find a website for Samos International Airport which included a list of operators and connecting airports, so I've tried the hard way:

The Blackpool Airport website states that there are no flights to Samos.

The Liverpool Airport website says the same.

The Manchester Airport website lists Excel Airways and ThomsonFly. However, the Excel website states their service only operates during the summer. The ThomsonFly website does not currently list Samos (which probably means that it only appears in their summer schedule).

Further afield, the websites for Leeds/Bradford and Sheffield/Doncaster and Coventry airports don't list any flights to Samos. I can't get the Birmingham Airport destination map to load but I think that I've eliminated most of the possible airlines anyway. (i.e. I don't think there are any flights from Birmingham).

Samos is not listed as a current destination on the websites of ThomsonFly, Excel, BmiBaby, Jet2, Ryanair or Easyjet.

4 of London's airports (Heathrow, Stansted, Luton & London City) don't list Samos as a destination. Gatwick only lists the summer services of ThomsonFly & Excel.

It seems likely that the only way to get to Samos (from any part of the UK) would be to change flights in Athens. Unfortunately, the Athens Airport website is currently down, so I can't start planning that journey for you! However, as it would probably mean paying a full-fare price with Olympic Airways (which is the only airline operating from Manchester to Athens) it's unlikely to be cheap.

Sorry!

Thanks so much for all your effort Chris. The question was for my husband whose friend has a yacht out there and wants to get it ready for winter. He was going out to help him! Thanks again. x
I reckon the only way to get there would be via Athens. Then either Olympic Airways flight, or one of the many ferries that run around the Aegean. G&A is one that comes to mind. I'm planning on going to Kos in January, and that's the way I'll be doing it.
