Many years ago I saw a train near Durham carrying the
Flying Scotsman plate on the front of the LNER loco-
a Pacific class A4. This appeared strange, since it was a Sunday, and the F.S. was a weekday train. Any
explanations/ suggestions ?

Thank you, In-a-Pickle. A very helpful website. The museum is now 'doing its thing' to find a logical explanation. I'm sure I wasn't hallucinating....
