I am going away with my wife for a week in Spain at the end of September.

I have diabetes (aged 57) and am finding it hard to get travel insurance at a reasonable price.

Anybody out there with good experience of this situation /can recommend suitable policies

Thank you for your anticipated help

I got world wide travel insurance reasonable from Barclays bank they just asked a few questions about diabetes, if your only going for a week post office do short euro insurance, have you got the new E111 card can do it on line need one for europe I had world wide to cover USA.
Another factor take your glucometer with you in hand luggage. Have a nice trip, I've not been to Spain but hope to go, off to Hong Kong and Australia soon a prize I won .
My other half has diabetes and we got insurance from Atlas Direct: http://www.atlasdirect.net/index.asp

They were Ok and just made a note on the policy about his diabetes, but it didn't force the premium up like most other companies.
Try Saga and/or Trailfinders.
I had the same problem. Tried 24drtravel.com, which gave me good
cover for the last three years. They only cover up to age 65.
Have now got World wide travel insurance with Lloydstsb, with my Gold current acc.
try moneymarket.com
Try Tesco
