I am thinking about booking a holiday to Torquay for myself and my family. I have been looking at the Rainbow International Hotel on the internet. Has anyone been there? Also, can anyone recommend what to do in Torquay? Is it nice for families?
Thanks

i went to the rainbow hotel about 6 years ago . how they
had the nerve to cal it "international" icould not say .meals were adequate and entertainment (nightly) was bingo folowed by a geriatric duo.but it might have changed over the years.
There's beaches and boat trips then C0ckington Village which is so picturesque and well worth a visit. Kents Caverns are really interesting and Paignton and Brixham aren't far away. Brixham is a lovely place and from Paignton you can get a steam train to Kingswear then get the ferry across to Dartmouth. If you contact the Torquay tourist information they will send you a brochure http://www.torbay.gov.uk/index/leisure/tourism /tourist-information-centres/torquay-tic.htm. I would say it's a good place for families.
You should try a hotel called Fawlty Towers. The manager is a bit weird and his wife is a bit of a haraden but the waitress/chambermaid is very nice, but avoid the Spanish waiter at all costs.
This Fawlty Towers hotel sounds nice.

Can you see the sea ?
