some one told me that shooting stars were the trails slugs made when re-entering the earths atmosphere, these special slugs then bathe in beer and in a confused state wander into our homes and mucus is left on our floors.

Yes, there are a few in my local.

Here's one I found earlier:

slug

NASA did a major study on this a few years ago and yes, you are absolutely right.
Snails are just slugs that are still carrying their space capsules.
They obviously need the shells to protect them as they enter the atmosphere. To sugggest slugs can plummet from space unprotected would just be stupid.
The beer to is to remove any remnants of Space Dust which of course would pop and fizz on contact with any young childs mouth, causing the slug great discomfort.
This of course disorientates them for a short time, but most slugs make a full recovery and go on to have full lives being accident injury lawyers and football agents.
i once got hit in the face by one but no one beleived me
the impact by one left a huge crater in my garden, it nearly wiped out all slug life for good!
I think you all deserve a slug. this thread warrents reporting but is so funny and obviously no one is being miss informed here so who cares. I know a differenk kind of slug: he drinks beer rather than bathes in it but that makes him forget all the good thing I do and remember 10 times the bad ones I nevers did. yea u gessed he's called "my boss"
