I'd like to jack it all in and go away but am aware that I'll have to come back someday and get another job. So I'd like to be able to do interesting work and not just spend all my savings. Any ideas/resources? Thanks!

I don't know if working with kids is an idea you have looked at. I did this a few years ago and it was great fun you get paid (not a lot) you also get your food and board.
