Anyone have experience of returning a faulty item after 30 day period (but within 1 of guarantee/warranty)
According to Amazon website they try to get it repaired first (does it make difference if it is overseas seller ? ) .Or do they in reality just issue straightforward refund ?
Just a general enquiry

Did you buy it from Amazon or a third party seller? I bought a smartphone from Amazon and when it developed a fault after 20 months I got a full refund two days after I returned it. No mention of repair
I had a radio alarm clock that died at 6 months old, quick text talk to amazon and an offer of a refund or replaced, opted for refund had the money in 4 hours.
Just realised you bought from a third party seller, based overseas. Did you buy it from the Amazon.co.uk site or a from an overseas Amazon website?
If you bought it from the UK website you will be covered by the Amazon A-Z guarantee

Chinese seller through Amazon UK.
In that case you can rely on the Amazon A-Z guarantee. Follow the link in this link

Update on this one -contacted amazon and, they said after 30days if fault develops the manufacturer has to be contacted first to try a repair solution "Defective Items After 30 Days
Troubleshooting and product support may be available to resolve any issues with your product, as outlined in the Product Support Help page. If your item becomes defective after the Amazon return period, Amazon will repair any defective item. The repair will be completed by the manufacturer or by a third-party repair service provider authorised by the manufacturers to repair their products. If a repair is not possible, we'll send you a replacement, and if a replacement is not available, we will refund the purchase price. Repair is only available for qualifying items sold by Amazon.co.uk or Amazon Warehouse. Amazon does not accept a return after 30 days for consumable products (e.g. batteries, fuses, ink, light bulbs, etc.) or if the defect is due to accidental damage, deliberate damage, caused by external factors, or general wear and tear. For more information go to About Warranty Repairs."
Is it within guarantee period, if not so your issue it is within guarantee period, your contract is with seller not the seller IMO
^^^ no the store my fingers are not working today.
I can't understand what Amazon is playing at. To get a refund from Amazon you need to meet ONE of the criteria. S.3ii states "The item you received is damaged, defective, materially different."
Yours is defective and doesn't need to be within the 30 day limit that applies if you simply change your mind.
Unless you have had the item for more than 90 days: s.4 "You have waited no longer than 90 days from the Estimated Delivery Date to file your claim."

Is it a consumable product?
yeah dont contact us
contact amazon
and they will tell you what to do
very easy to follow
and good
( unlike their rotten amazn rime con)
He has contacted Amazon, PP.
