Short journey from station to hotel in Wales - 5.1 km and fare is £3 plus £1.01 per km - how much would this be and how much would you tip?

About 8.15 I would give a tenner
Hand over a tenner an say 'keep the change', especially if the .1km clicks over into another £1.01.
it depends on whether its 101 per km or part thereof or just per km. 8-9 pounds
Here I would give them a £3 tip.

I did think a tenner but not used a taxi for years.
Why tip a taxi driver?
You are paying for them to provide a service, end of!
Does anyone else on here get tipped for doing their job, I don't and I expect many others are the same!
I do, but then again I'm a tipper driver.
tommy cooper used to slip a tea bag into the driver's pocket saying 'have a drink on me later'

I agree with Saint Peter. Why tip at all? If he got off his backside and helped with shopping or luggage perhaps, but not for just sitting there!
Id give them a £3 tip. They always carry my shopping and put it inside my front door for me.
