Your help please.

Because of severe gallbladder problems I have to follow a low low fat diet, I am getting rather bored with salad and roasted veg.

I have replaced beef mince with turkey breast mince and that is about 2% fat.

Anyone have any nice recipes that they are willing to share?

Venison is lean. Goes nice with a fruity sauce.
What about seafood?
Umm Venison with fruit sauce making my mouth water lol
Pulses, rice, fruit & veg, raw, boiled or steamed. Sushi ?
I know Tony...I've put it on my shopping list :-)
Umm so have I still have some rich relish left over from Christmas as well as Stilton

will look at the link and see what they suggest - love seafood and sushi but dislike normal fish.
How are you with spices?
Pasta in a tomato-based sauce with Basa-fish, lean grilled chicken-breast or salmon fillet.
Ostrich and Kangaroo steaks are also very lean.
Mashed potatoes with a splash of milk and NO butter.
Substitute 0% fat creme fraiche and yoghurt for the usual purchases.
Carefully read labels of anything marked 'Low-fat' they can often be quite misleading.
You may be able to tolerate vegetable-fats better than dairy fats but still use as little as you can get away with.
Steam/boil wherever practical.
Our house has been almost zero fat for the past few years and we have a diet based primarily on turkey-mince, chicken and fish.
Grilled gammon steaks with ALL fat trimmed off is an occasional treat.
I wish you well....gall-bladder problems are awful. xx
I made a Dal the other day which got much acclaim and goes with anything, from a recipe in 'Made in India, Cooked in Britain' by Meera Sodha. Her mother's 'Everyday Dal'; 225g Red lentils, 1 Onion, 2tbsp sunflower oil, 4 garlic cloves crushed, 1tsp. grated ginger, 1/2 tsp each of powdered chilli, coriander, turmeric, 1tsp salt, 300g crushed canned tomatoes.

Wash lentils, boil in 600ml water 10 -15 mins until soft. Fry onion in oil till golden, add other ingredients inc. tomatoes, simmer 8 minutes. stir in the lentils and simmer for a further 10 mins.
'For a soupier dal, add more water' I didn't.
Mrs JtH wasn't much of a fish-eater but needs must and after a bit of trial and error we have found a few that she enjoys.
You might just have to see if you can overcome your dislike, I'm afraid.
Most white fish has a very subtle flavour.

Can take mild spice

funny stuff that I could take before I can't eat anymore, yogurt I could eat by the lorry load but not now!

I have had some success making low fat alternatives of favs my low fat pizza made with 98% mozzeralla is a success. But the spicy chicken I used to eat now no longer agrees with me.

How about a stirfry with some lean meat like chicken? Maybe low fat fajitas but easy on any spice.

I lived on ham salad sandwiches (lunch) and lean wafer thin turkey salad wraps (tea) mainly when I had my gallbladder issues. I was quite horrified when I started checking fat content on everything!

Easy to digest things are good too like rice but no too large a portion as I found portion size could also affect my gallbladder.

How about making some of your own soup from scratch with low fat ingredients? I would have chicken noodle simmer soups sometimes.
