If you are prepared to go a little further this place is good for a youngster. I once stayed when my son was 3yrs old. Perranporth sands are also great and from here a day out gives countless options. http://www.perransands.org.uk/

Never used one, but seen a few John Fowler Holiday Parks when we have been in Devon. Maybe worth a look at their website.
I don't know it personally, but I work near it and the customers of ours who stay there seem happy with it.

A fantastic website, packed with detailed site descriptions and loads of reviews:

(Hint: Once you've selected an area, use the filters down the left to help you find what you want. 'Static to rent' might help in the first instance. Then click on 'Pool' or whatever else you require).

thanks togo - i booked. Blimmimg expensive though :)
I hope you get good weather bednobs. Ta for B.A. Don't bother with Newquay. If you decide to visit the Eden Project do get the special bus that takes you there. You don't have to queue or walk miles from a car park as you pay on the bus.
