My niece is over there at the moment, keeps posting photos on her blog site.
Your county is gorgeous, your cities have some wonderful architecture, lots of history as well, but too many people for me.
I'm used to wide open spaces.
Iossy...where does your niece live ?
Usually In Canberra, Act, Ozzy land Mikey. She is moving around over there. Doing the 12 month working/tourist visa thing.
And loving it!!!!

Check the N.West Weather reports "T" we get everyone's share.
Then she will notice the difference then 1ozzy !

My nephew has been working and living in Sydney for about 5 years and he is over here in Wales for a 2 month holiday. He complains that its always raining ( it isn't ! ) and yet when he first went to OZ, he complained that the winters were rainy and horrible !

You can't please everybody it would seem !
Manchester is well known for being wet... 143 v 222

Where did you say you were originally from 1ozzy?
It depends where in Oz you are Mikey Being a large country the climate changes dramatically depending on location.

I'm from Yorkshire TWR, how does the saying go? Yorkshire man born, Yorkshire man bred, strong in the arm, Weak in the?? ;-)
1ozzy...here is a clip you might enjoy, from a TV comedy program called "Hale and Pace"

And here's another one 1ozzy, this time from Harry Enfield :::

I do enjoy Hale & Pace Mikey, also Vicar of Dibley, Dads Army, Love thy Neighbour, Yes Minister and every other Pommy comedy I can think of.
Thanks for the clip.
Glad to be of service 1ozzy ! I have a good friend who lives in Wakefield, that thinks that both of these clips are exactly what he sees everyday !

What age did you emigrate to Oz ?

My parents briefly toyed of being £10 poms, back in the early 60's, when I was about 9 years old. I am not sure if they were that serious but its interesting to think I could now be typing this as a 62 year old in Sydney !
well I'm near Manchester + we've hardly had any rain in the daytime for ages,....in fact I'm getting a bit sick of my "southern softie" friends moaning about the weather :)

My parents were 10 quid poms in 61 Mikey.
I was a one year old!...Ya old f @ ar t. ;-).
There ain't many years between us then.
Bathy....South Wales is living up its reputation as the Monsoon capital of Britain this morning....its horrible ! Peeing down and a sky, when you can see it, of steel grey.

But it was lovely yesterday....not quite as warm as it has been recently, which for me, is much better....I start to whinge terribly when its too hot !
1ozzy.... we could be nearly twins then ! So I am thinking that you have no memories of Blighty. Have you been "back home" since '61 at all ?
That's why it's so lovely + green down there Mikey ;)
You get some lovely clear + sunny days as well

By the way, isn't it nice to have a friendly chat ? The Trolls are out in force this morning, on other threads !
