Am also posting this in travel. Can anyone confirm that the electricity Dubai is 22v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Just the same as the UK neti

Just found this..

" ELECTRICITY
Domestic supply is 220 volts. Sockets suitable for three-pin 13 amp plugs of British standard design are the norm, however it is a good idea to bring an adapter with you just in case. Adapters can be purchased in local supermarkets. Appliances purchased in the UAE will generally have two-pin plugs attached.

Ah cos here we only have 2 pin, so better to get UK ones before daughter goes?
good healthy British electricity, not that oily Arabian stuff
Is that the same good old British electricity that is,in part, supplied to us by France jno?
I doubt very much if its 22v...more like 220v.
We live in Abu Dhabi and the electrics are the same as back here in England.
they were when I lived there in Dubai, I brought a lot of stuff back when I came home eg washing machine and dishwasher, just plugged them in over here and away they went even though eldest son said it would not happen and I had wasted my time bringing them !
Not sure about the electricity but I saw that the police there will be using Google Glasses soon.
