That's a link to the BBC news page. I can't see anything that might relate to what you're talking about.

Beg pardon Naomi ! ....posting on too many fronts at once, as usual !

Morning mikey and naomi.

//"But the electoral reality is that we will not win outright Conservative majorities until we start attracting more of the ethnic vote."//

That will not happen until more from the minorities make a packet and move to their des-res in the the shires, which is how Tories win their seats in the first place.

Or maybe this is the exact point she's trying to make? They need to become rich enough to be Tory but stay in the city constituencies, eroding Labour's majorities?

By the way, before anyone attempts to quote her, can I test the forum autofilters?

Hypognosis...I think you may have a point here. I am somewhat perplexed why Warsi joined the Tory Party in the first place. Asians are not exactly queuing up to vote Tory are they ? She must have felt rather uncomfortable at times.
I don't see she's been scorned - telling it like it is, more likely. The Old Etonians are not attracting the ethnic minority vote, and there's a lot of it. From my own experience, many middle-class Asian people would vote Conservative, as representing "the Establishment" in principle, rather than the Labour blue-collar alternative (as some see it).

I just think that for dave to lose her out of the tent was a error of judgement. She is now a loose cannon and will be a thorn in his side for a long time to come.

I am on record as admiring her for her stand on this subject. She can't be the only Tory activist that is unhappy with dave's faffing around on the Gaza issue but at least she has had the courage of her convictions. British politics needs more people with balls.
I'm with you on that, mikey ^^.

I will add you to my small list of supporters boxy !
Just in case that post is taken the wrong way, it relates to this piece of the story

//She also said that "some of the bitchiest women I've ever met in my life are the men in politics".//

Makes a change, politicians giving me something to smile about. ;-)

She may be right, although I am not sure she has done herself by saying so. It kind of detracts from the seriousness of her point about Gaza.

But its a small criticism I suppose.
She's a bit shrill.
Just in passing my dear old dad used to quote " hell hath no fury like a woman's corns"

And woe betide us if we step on them !
link leads to a page with many articles on. Is this about Baroness Warsi?
Question Author
Sorry woofy...I posted the wrong link at first...corrected at 08:55 !
She isn't saying anything that Cameron does not already know.

On the scale of Fury it is about 1 out of 10.
Looks to me me like she is bitter after her little tantrum and stomping of. Dave is better of without her she is a libility.
