Would this affect flying to sharm el sheik between 7th and 13th sept ?....
my son goes to herghada in 5 weeks : (
Sharm isn't on the Arabian peninsula - and neither is Hurghada. As for travel, no one knows what's planned, so you can only make your own decisions.
Britain's closed its Yemen embassy over the weekend but I think that's about all

Does that mean we should be afraid to leave the house to go to the shop!!!!
Well, if your shop is in Yemen, might be wise to forego the visit to the cornership, rely on the freezer and fire up the xbox over the weekend :)

You'll be ok, Spoony.
I love being glib, Tony.
Sorry Lazygun, no XBox only PS3. But I've packed it away ready for our move northwards on the 24th of this month.
Well I'm off for now. It has been fun on here, again.

Bye everyone. Inimitably yours,

Spoony xx

I was made to believe by the same Americans that Al Qaeeda has been defeated and there is no more threat as USA has liberated the world. Must be a hollywood movies then because that is where the Americans are at best when it comes to saving the world.
Keyplus, //I was made to believe by the same Americans that Al Qaeeda has been defeated and there is no more threat as USA has liberated the world. //

Where did you get that from?
I've never visited a Muslim country and in the current political climate most certainly wouldn't do so any time in the near future.

It's a personal edict I'll be sticking to for some time to come....
