From Beijing to Hangzhou

I've been looking for ways to get from Malta to Hangzhou and the flights are either badly timed or too expensive, so Beijing is more accessible but would anyone know how to get from there to Hangzhou? Maybe by train or ferry of some kind? I'm sure it'll be cheaper than the whole flight.

Map of all air routes into Hanghzou:

Full timetable:
http://www.hzairport.com/en/gjhb.aspx
(Keep clicking 'Next').

These airlines operate between Beijing and Hanghzou:
China Southern Airlines (CZ in the timetable)
Air China (CA)
Hainan Airlines (HU)
China Eastern Airlines (MU)
Shanghai Airlines (FM)

Beijing and Hanghzou are over 700 miles apart, so rail travel won't be quick!

However you seem to have ignored the possibility of getting an international flight into Shanghai, which is much closer to Hanghzou. (Just over 100 miles, with a direct rail line between the two cities). Flights into Shanghai Pudong International Airport are listed here:

Destinations served from Malta are listed here:

with details available from here:

I've planned a flight to go first Malta>Frankfurt>Beijing>Hangzhou through Expedia, the problem now is that my surname has been written down as my name as well so I'll be carrying the name Christopher Christopher :( as far as I know I wrote everything down right in its proper field but I seriously need to find I way to get my name right!
