Norwegian help required!
Hi
I want to attend a Tom Petty concert in Oslo on 15th June 2012. The venue is Frognerbadet, Middelthunsgt. 28 OSLO.
I can get a really cheap flight with Ryanair from Gatwick to Oslo Gardermoen airport, arriving 15:20. I guess the concert will start about 7 or 8pm.
My questions are:
1. Will I have time to get from Gardermoen to the venue or is the Gardermoen airport miles outside the city?
2. I will want to stay over at least 2 nights in Oslo. What can I expect to pay and does anyone have recommedation for hotels / B&B?
3. The Ryanair return flight will be from Oslo Rygge airport. Is this airport a long way from the city?
4. What are the "must see" things in Oslo for someone with only a couple of days?
5. If you speak Norwegian, maybe you could look at this page:
http://www.billettser...DAG-billetter/OFE1506
...and give me the low-down on where the seats (if any!) are situated, and any other useful info you can derive. As you can guess I don't speak Norwegian!
Thanks in advance

Buses operated by Flybussen run every 20 minutes from Gardermoen Airport, taking 43 minutes to Oslo bus terminal:

Trains also run 10 minutes, taking 22 minutes to Oslo Central Station:

Frognerbadet is served by Majorstuen station on the Metro (all lines), and by the Frogner Stadion stop on Tram line 12:

In practice though, it's probably not worth changing to a Metro or tram service. Nationaltheatret Station is only one Metro stop away from Majorstuen station, so it's probably an easy walk. The train from the airport calls at Nationaltheatret station 5 minutes after Oslo Central Station (making it a 27 minute journey from the airport):

Jumping ahead to your return journey, buses take an hour to get to Rygge Airport, with departures from Oslo bus terminal scheduled to leave 2 hours 50 minutes before flight times:

The National Art Museum is amazing as is the Viking Museum - I would also go to the top of the ski jump of it is open.
Not cheap......some interesting food but there's plenty of reviews on that.
Take you max booze allowance, if not for yourselves, for any Norwegians you know or befriend or as tips.....it is highly appreciated. Alcohol cost is prohibitive and, I don't think you are intending to drive, but any drinking and driving is totally out.
Most people speak good English but do not assume that all can - (just like the Netherlands).
