for the Orange Tree - I prefer Youngs beer over Fullers.
For a less crowded way to get from Waterloo to Twickenham Stadium I would catch a train to Hounslow via Chiswick, usually departing from platforms 16 to 19. The 11.07 arrives at Hounslow mainline station at 11.45 and then it is a gentle 20 minute walk to the Stadium via Whitton Road and Whitton Dene. Or catch the 281 bus from outside the station and that will drop you right outside the stadium. If catching the bus and need to go to a pub, get off the bus in Whitton, the Admiral Nelson is to the right on the corner.

Thanks DT and e.crespo. I'm glad I'm staying at home!!
I should have added that my times were for a.m. and the buses that pass the stadium are every eight minutes before kick-off. To return, I would recommend walking back to Hounslow station to avoid the masses. I live nearby and I rarely go out when the stadium chucks out! Roads are closed and grid-locked.

Thanks e.crespo.
Or you just get to Hounslow East using Piccadilly (towards Heathrow) and I will pick you up and drop at rugby stadium after all good people do help each other. It is around the corner from my homemand I can almost see it and can definitly hear noise from there during match days.

Otherwise as others said, it is just about at five minutes walk from Twick BR station.

Keyplus that is really sweet of you, but it is my other half that is going with his brother. The trip was a retirement present for his brother.
