I would book direct with the cruise company although they do tend to pester you with emails .. Royal Caribbean are bad at this.

Never pay the cruise company's brochure price. You should be aiming at prices around half that. There are lots of bargains around at the moment from travel agents which you won't necessarily get from the cruise lines. Try these:
www.1st4cruising.com www.cruise.co.uk http://www.wecruise.co.uk Or look at the ads in the weekend newspaper travel pages, especially the Telegraph. |

Try the Bolsover Cruise Club 01246 819819 (especially if you are interested in P&O or Princess), but they do all cruises. Remember to ask for OBC (on board credit), price with and without pre paid gratuities (you normally have to allow about $10/person/day and it can work out cheaper to pre pay) and if you are sailing from Southampton ask about free car park and/or free coach travel. Phone up 2 or 3 companies and phone round a couple of times to 'play one' against the other and the price might come down a bit.

As JNO said, weekend papers are full with offers. I get Daily Mail and usually more than half is about cruises.
