Not many people wear hats nowadays and when they do they are funny (ha-ha) ones (see royal wedding). Sqad - don't you have to wear something on your head in that sunny climate you live in or don't you mind a sunburnt bonce.

probably a Panama. Boaters look a bit silly.

starby....the only thing that i wear on my head is moisturizing cream with Factor 30 after I have shaved in the morning. I never use sun screen as i never sunbath for more than 20 mins at a a time.

I have a large straw hat with a scarf and plastic fruit stuck on it, a la Carmen Miranda. Bought from a charity shop, it must have been made for a fancy dress or a musical. Makes people laugh, I love weird dressy up things!

Mine would be daily, sqad, if only the sun stayed up long enough.

redhelen ... I was thinking it would go with the jacket. But I've also seen a really nice stripey blazer that would look fab.

Sounds good (for you) sqad. I don't go out in the sun at all - if I go outside I seek the shade. Can't always avoid it though but trust to luck. As you are well versed in the harm the sun can do you obviously know what to do to avoid any harm. Does this mean you are bald? I love bald - I think it is very sexy. I mean, of course, on men, not women.
