do i need my parents passport numbers to get my first passport

i am a british national and i want to apply for my first adult passport but i dont speak to or know where my parents live i have never had a passport or left the uk in my live .when i tried to fill out the form it wanted to know my parents details ie passport numbers but i dont know none of them can i still apply for one thank you for your help

Presuming ur of age (18 or more) just fill in what you know on the form and print 'Unknown' for what you dont know. Send the money with the application and you should soon have ur passport.
