silly question...
goto either the AA or the RAC website and use the route planners, they will tell you roughly how long your journey will take.
redcrx Thurs 15/05/08 15:12
123 hours at 1mph.

The average speed in Britain is roughly 55mph for combined motorway / other road driving therfore I would allow 2.5 hrs.

The Rac route planner is not very helpful. It just assumes 60mph for motorways, 30 mph for ordinary roads.
Roads vary SO much.
60 for motorways is OK until you get stuck in roadworks or rush hour on the M6.
I would think about the time of day; look up possible road works; ask someone who knows that road,; guess how long it would take. And then, if you have an important appointment, add an hour to allow for getting lost / stuck / breaking down. If you have tocall Green Flag you lose an hour easily, even though they come promptly.
