Apartments to rent in Edinburth

Going to Edinburgh in Oct for my 60th birthday with my husband, can anyone recommend a nice apartment to rent near the centre?

Late rooms.com has lists of apartments as well as hotels. Travelodge is doing really cheap deals if you book 21 days in advance. I got 2 nights room rate in Edinburgh Central ( just off the Royal Mile) in November for £47!

We've used Mckays Agency quite a few times, www.mackays-self-catering.co.uk. They have some really nice properties.

Also, we have stayed at a property on Dicksonfield, which is a 15 minute walk from the east end of Princess Street, which is very central. The appartment was lovely, and I would highly recommend it!!
