We're going to Orlando in May and are just thinking of booking the theme park tickets.
Discovery cove looks great, swimming with dolphins being the main attraction, has anyone been and is it worth the money?
We were thinking of getting a disney 7 or 14 day pass and flex plus ticket so the 14 days will all be full, I don't want to buy these tickets at the expense of something we've already paid for unless it's really special.

My mate went and she said it was very expensive. She was told she would get a dvd showing her kids with the dolphins which she thought would be great but afterwards she found out the dvd alone was going to cost something ridiculous, like 60 or something ! She said it was good but far too expensive !
We have been to Orlando several times and Discovery Cove has always seemed very expensive, even more so now the exchange rate is so bad. At Sea World you can touch and feed the dolphins in a large open pool, it's probably better than swimming in a manky pool! Have a fab time, you'll love it.
It is expensive but they restrict the number of people so it is never overcrowded. You get a complimentary family photo on arrival, lunch is included, lovely choice of menu and its not chips and burgers. Towels, sunbeds and suncream, as you are not allowed to use your own suncream as its harmful to the dophins are also provided. You can also swim in the other pools alongside the fish, wander through the bird area which is lovely . A lovely relaxing day and you have quite a while swimming with the dolphins as well.
you get breakfast and lunch all snacks and all drinks included, free snorkel gear that you can keep but you got to hand back the wet suit, flotation devices free for use, and if you dont want to pay for the dvd just get someone to film it from the side on the camcorder on zoom, works great. We done that but also bought their video and photos as it is a once in a lifetime experience.
The food is great, as said not the usual burger bar stuff,
It is a very humbling experience and reccomended.
enjoy x

Thats very helpful, thanks very much for your anwers everyone.
Think we're gonna go for it, we're only going once so as you say it's a once in a lifetime experience.
Thanks again, Anne x
We went to Discovery Cove and yes it is expensive but worthwhile. The children loved the experience of the dolphins. It is a fantastic place very clean and well organised not manky as was suggested in a previous thread. Everything is free once you are there highly recommended.

Hi, thanks for that ...we've booked to go and I can't wait. Most of the reports seem to be the same, expensive but worth it, the experience of a lifetime ...so I don't want to miss it.
