Denver to Cheyenne by bus

Hi,
Going to Denver in December for a few days.Wondering if its poss to go by bus from Denver to Cheyenne in Wyoming, and return the same day?
We are non drivers,so its got to be public transportation.
Have tried to find out from the Greyhound site, but the info is pretty vague.Any info gratefully accepted

Looks like it's possible but finding schedules on line is a ******* - may be an idea to ring Greyhound as their site suggests.

I've identified two buses a day - Denver dep 1145pm arr 220am or dep 8.15am arr 1155am.
Return trips are at 945am and 325pm

(To find these put Colorado Springs rather than Denver as the starting point on the Greyhound site - it will then show the connections through Denver....)

Black Hills Stage Lines run the route but their website refers you to Greyhound for schedules.

the greyhound schedule above is the same as that offered by black hills stage lines, so probably one company operates the route on behalf of the other.

you can book online at http://www.blackhillsstagelines.com/Default.as p

Keep in mind that a commuter airline is based in Cheyenne and has probably 8 to 10 flights a day both directions. It's about a 20 minute flight ground to ground. Of course, that leaves you at Denver International which is about 12 miles northeast of downtown Denver, but the Cheyenne airport is right in the middle of town. Additionally, you might check for the shuttles that run from Denver to Ft. Collins and Cheyenne.
The airline is Great Lakes Airlines, see here: http://www.booksecure.net/GreatLakes/Criteria. aspx ...
I live in the western U.S. and your right to consider the weather at that time of the year. Hopefully you'll have a nice but chilly time. Welcome to the U.S.!

Thanks for the airline link,I guess that would be a good option if the roads are snowbound. At least in the U.S when the roads get lots of snow, they are cleared pretty quick, here in the UK,it brings huge areas to a complete standstill.Great forum,I,ve had this question posted on Frommers for two weeks now,and no replies. After just a few hours on AB I,ve had three already.

Bear in mind that with Greyhound at least, 'booking' doesn't exist. You can buy tickets in advance, yes, but they don't guarantee you a seat. It's first come first served.

Whether Blackhills operate on the same principle I don't know - their website suggests proper reservations though.
