I used to live in Dorset. Not too sure about Blandford as I never went there I don't think but see if you can go to Bournemouth and Poole or Weymouth and Portland where Chesil Beach is on day trips as they are good

I live 2 miles up the road we are right in the middle of Dorset the beach is 5 miles away at Poole, Bournemouth loads of walks and sights there are clubs at Poole and lots of friendly country pubs
