p and o cruise

we are off this weekend on a p and o cruise around britain - up to the north of Scotland round to Liverpool over to Belfast, Cork and ending in Guernsey= just wondered whether anyone had been on a cruise like this and what the weather was round the top of Scotland and in the Irish sea.

Was worried about the Bay of Biscay two years ago, but it was as calm as a millpond.

Surely cannot be any worse than all the rain we have had recently!!!!

Which ship? - we were on the Ventura last year and it was fantastic. Although we live in Scotland I would love to sail around the north as I'm sure the scenery would be amazing.....No guarantees though on the weather!

thanks for the "good news" and thanks for the weather site.

Can only hope they are wrong. Will report back after the trip with the outcome.
I love P&O cruises so while the weather may not be great I'm sure you'll still enjoy yourself.
's nae bad fae the morn, luk at this http://www.zoover.co....otland/thurso/weather
I went on a mini 3 day cruise on a P&O ferry, I hated every minute of it, I hated the fact that I was a prisoner on a boat, we crossed the bay of biscay in a force 10 gale and arrived in northern Spain in a foot of snow.

Never again!!
You wouldn't have enjoyed my 3 week one to the Caribbean then ratter :-)
No Craft, I couldnt do that, I feel trapped, I want to be out doing things, not stuck on a boat, I hate it! I would rather stay home.

Update on cruise - weather was not a problem until we got to Liverpool - then it just rained and blew a gale. We should have gone to Dublin after Liverpool, but by evening the Captain decided to stay put as there was a Force 9 ' Breeze' !!. Rain still teemed down the next day and it was quite cold for the time of year. So off we sailed to Cobh which proved to be the warmest day.

Considering the weather, the cruise was very enjoyable.
