When my computer broke down open office was put in - however thank goodness I dont do much typing nowadays but have noticed any typing I have done - that on the screen the writing/print is patchy. Now I would not like to work with this if ever I am called to type a laborious job. Anybody help me to take away the "patchiness" Thanks

I can't think of any reason why type on your screen should appear 'patchy' other than a poorly set-up monitor.

You should be able to see all of the numbers, from 0 to 10, on both of the relevant lines. If you can't, follow the on-screen instructions to correct your monitor settings. Then take another look at how type appears on your screen.

Is the patchiness always in the same place on the screen? Are you sure you have the monitor set to its correct resolution?
