mac to pc network

how do i go about networking an imac to a pc, do i need any software/ hardware other than a cable the pc and imac both have network cards. i really need to share the internet connection

You're probably better of getting a seperate modum for the PC. Hooking up a PC & iMAC is a bot of a nightmare. There's a program called Dave that does it; but a 2nd modum is probably cheaper.
