I have tried the Recycle Bin but to no avail. I had it in `My Pictures` and intended to use it for my Avatar in A/B.

No problem, just bring it back from your latest backup.

Excuse my ignorance squarebear, but how do I do that?
When was the last time you backed up your important files and photos?
Question Author
Long time no can do. Ugh. Please help.
Do you know what it was called? if so do a search for it as you may have just moved it into another folder by mistake.

If you don't know the name you could search for all JPEG (probably) files and sort them by date (assuming you only got the file recently)

Er....right!......how do I do dat? As I said, "Please excuse my ignorance"....
Question Author
It`s ok I remember, thanks
open computer (or my computer) right click on the drive and select search, then enter the name of the file in the filename box. or if you don't know the name try entering jpeg in the filename box and it'll find all jpeg pictures, then click on the date heading to sort by date and check the newest ones.
