Hi, my friend was just telling me that her friend who is a primary school teacher said that whenever it is windy (like today) there is a noticable change for the worse in the kids behaviour. And her friend who is a prison guard also says the same thing - when it's windy the behaviour of the prisoners is worse. Anybody experienced this?

I got the wrong end of the stick, but with a fabulous image in mind.
Sorry cant help with human behaviour, but my cats have been racing around like mad things all morning, even Addy who is old and very sedate
I often notice a considerable change in people if they have severe wind. My friend Lil is a case in point.
I always feel edgy and nervous in this type of weather - I am Bipolar and know that there is probably a link.

I am usually more unsettled by it during the summer and Dec/Feb time - but do not know enough about the weather to know why.
how would you feel under this, wolf?

I agree Barb.

Our cat just came in and went mad, racing around and scratching the carpet.

I suppose if you had satellite dish ears, you would be a bit loopy on a windy day.
I see snow in the US!

I think that, for me anyway, it is due to wind/air pressure. Not helped by the hole in my roof which is leaking badly and the soaking wet wall beside it - but that is just something else for me to get freaked out about.
You need to get that sorted Wolfie, for your health.
Yes, I used to work in a school and the kids were definitely more noisy and excitable when it was windy. Since becoming a dog owner, I notice that my dog is also affected by the wind and becomes a lot livelier.
I love it...I have all my windows open :-)
i wondered why murph was being odder than normal
I haven't see Brian since breakfast.....
As an ex-teacher I have to concur. Children are definitely more excitable when it is windy.
I don`t like riding very much on high ground when it`s windy. The horses definitely get a bit frisky, especially when the wind is behind them.
The witches are on the influencing run. :-)
When I was a primary school teacher, there was a definite change in children when it was windy, they became edgy, nervous and hyper.
As an ex teacher I also agree but notice it far more in cats and horses
Well they've just had the lethargy blown out of them on the way to school !
Probably something to do with a change in the positive or negative ions in the atmosphere.
Horses are definitly affected by the wind. They get all edgy and also the change in atmospheric pressure affects them. Can always tell when a storm is brewing
