I clicked on an ad for BT FON Hotspot thinking it was free and could take my netbook with me outside my house for job, house searches etc. Now I can't get rid of it or get my normal homepage or favourites up. How do I get rid of it and access what I had before (without losing any bits I had)?
Many thanks

It's okay now, rebooted it through System Resore. Won't be fiddling with it again! Also pc came back from its holiday after Christmas with a new screen so it isn't shoogly any more!

shoogly?

Dunno what that means, but what a great word!

It's Scottish, meaning very shaky and unstable! Like a table may be before you stick a beer mat under its leg, hench 'a shoogly table', in my case the pc screen would scroll and flicker. Urban Dictionary is a good site to check out strange words.
Well you learn summet new every day don't you? Thanks for explaining :-) I'm now going to use that word at every given opportunity.

Glad you got your 'puter sorted too.
wow, I get shoogly myself. I wish I could find my own system restore button. It's always worth googling anything before you try to install it, just in case it has issues.
