Cleaning under keys...

There is something stuck under one of the keys on my laptop - probably a kitkat crumb. I tried giving is a soft bash upside down but it's just moved to another key. I know on my old keyboard I could pop out the keys and stick them back in but that was a big chunky thing. Can you pop the keys out on a laptop that has 'soft' keys or will I end up just snapping them?

There is a good chance you'll snap the "deckchair" under the key, it is possible to remove them, but very fiddly. an Air duster would be a better idea to try first.

Thanks Chuck. Alternatively, I could just avoid using any words that have the letter between 'n' and ',' in them. :)

Sorry Pixi, didn't see your reply. Will give that a try too - if I can find the hoover attachments.

I think you can remove the keys, and then put them back without any damage. I did this myself by mistake the other day, and thought it was the end of the world. They just snap back into place with no harm done.

Hope this helps.
Agree with mercia re. cyber-clean. Was given a pot of it at Christmas; it's great at cleaning key boards, phones, mobiles, remotes etc.
