I really want to get an iphone4 but i cant download itunes onto my computer (due to an error re.apple application support). Do i really need itunes to operate the iphone, i will not be using the phone for music as i have a seperate mp3 player for that. Can i download apps from the app icon already on the iphone4?? Please help!!

I don't think you can set up an apple account without having itunes on a computer and without an account, you can't buy apps.

uninstall all apple progs on your comp,
run cc cleaner to clear cookies and all the other crap your comp that it doesn't need (its very safe "cc cleaner") also run registry clean up on cc cleaner.,do a restart after this,and try to download i tunes again from the apple web page
i had the problem you had this did it for me

Thank you both for your replies. jacksprat16-I just tried what you suggested but itunes still wont install..Ive tried it now for 9 HOURS over the last 3 nights & seriously hacked off with itunes now, it looks like i will not be able to get an iphone :-(!!
