panasonic blue ray player SC-BTX70

I have a panasonic blue ray player.
It plays some DVDs but a lot of the time it says CANNOT READ DISC.
I have put in the panasonic firmware update but this has made no difference.
Can anyone help please.

no, they are all the same.
sometimes when you take a DVD out and put it back in again the player then can read it.
