When I have logged on to my laptop this evening I am getting a box up in the corner where I normally have a weather forecast asking me for my password and user name, The message says ' the server weather.service.msn.com at dsl router requires a user name and password' This I don't understand. Ihave tried to imput my passsword ( the one I log on to my laptop with) but the box keeps on coming back. I have a toshiba laptop running windows 7. anyone any ideas how I get rid of this box and get the forecast back?

TIA

As the message is coming from msn could it be your MSN / Hotmail / Windows Mail userid and password?

Not really sure, However I have closed the 'Gadget and re-opened it and that seems to have worked (for now)
I have had this annoying box too.I had to enter details that I got from sky.Who is your internet provider?I don't think the password is any big secret, but the window keeps popping up every few weeks. If you are with sky I can let you know the magic words cos I don't think they are user generated, just one that Sky uses.Probably other providers have the same but fat lot of good I am cos I cannnot remember how I got it in the first place.Sorry :-(

I am with sky as it happens but closing the 'Gadget' and re-opening it seems to have cured the problem, maybe it has started happening because we have started turning of the router when we are not using it?
Funny that cos that's what we do too.It may of solved your problem, but mine came back after a few weeks. If you have to though, admin and sky are the magic words!
