When one of our directors sets up a formula which refers to a cell on another worksheet, the result is always the "-" mark indicating no result. It doesn't happen with formulas which refer to cells on the same worksheet. Any ideas what the problem could be?

the formulae for referring to cells in another worksheet should be something like:

= worksheetname! Cell number

eg. = SUM Sheet1!A4
