Any help appreciated.

Went to iTunes Store to successfully preview Beatles songs. Clicked on 'buy' and nothing happened after I entered password etc.

Tied to look at my 'purchase history' (and report problem). No luck.

Using Mac 10.4 O/S.

If your purchase doesn't appear in the Store/Purchased section of your iTunes window, then the purchase hasn't taken. You should retry. If it does show then click the item to restart the download.

I cannot even get to look at 'purchase history' or to contact Apple...as each step requires my password. It ignores me after I type password.
OK. A couple of things to try. Go into your Finder home file/library/preferences and find the document com.apple.iTunes.plist. Note there may be more than 1 of these. Choose the one as written here, the others will have suffixes after .plist. Put it in the trash can and start iTunes. This was your preference file. Starting iTunes will now recreate a fresh new one. You will have to enter your preferences again. Open iTunes preferences window to complete. Try your purchase again. It should ask you to enter your user name and password . This may clear your problem. Check in the app Keychain Access in your Utilities folder to make sure you are entering the correct detail.
jailbreak it and get them for free, or download off the web and transfer from comp-phone/pod
