It just means you don't need to buy a separate freeview box to watch digital TV.

cheers squarebear, but how do i access it?
No idea. Did it come with an instruction book?
I would assume though that you just watch your TV as normal. Do you have channels like BBC3 and DAVE on it?

i ve got sky but gettin rid of it and i have instruction manual but it s not very helpful. btw is the answer to number 3 slumberland
Not sure what you mean about number 3 but try switching your TV on and see if you can find those channels I mentioned. If you can, then you are already watching digital TV and the freeview is working automatically.
Many TV now comes with normal analogue tuners and digital tuners (Freeview).

Analogue will only pick up the "normal" 5 channels (BB1, BBC2, ITV, Four and Five).

Digital will pick up many more (depending where you live in the UK)

Your TV should automatically "tune" the TV to pick up both analogue channels and digital channels.

You may need to use the remote control to switch between watching analogue channels (may be marked as ATV) and your digital channels (may be marked as DTV).

Suggest you read your instruction manual to see how to switch to watch digital TV.

Note analogue signals will soon be switched off in the UK (some places already have) so soon you may only be able to pick up digital channels.
Note if you "get rid of Sky" and stop paying for it, then you can keep the Sky box and still use it to watch hundreds of free channels
we have just changed to digital and i bought a panasonic tv with built in freeview i just plug in and the digital channels are fine ,but the manual is anightmare to understand it could have been simplified,
Querie!! If you get rid of Sky, will you still get the film channels?
No (other than film4)
Thanks Chuck. (excuse me pauld)
There should be a button on the remote that looks like a right pointing arrow going through a circle which should change the tv from tv,to sky,to say imput 1,imput 2 etc
