a needle for an old PYE record player from the 60s

have found a very old record player in attic...its made by a company called PYE, it is portable (size of sewing machine) but is missing its stylus (needle) it was was bought in the late 60s and in use up to the late 70s....what would I start to look for such a stylus....is it a hopeless task? Cany anyone help?

I would start by asking at one of your local record shops. Not the Virgin/HMV type of store but the side street type of store that sells vinyl and not CD.
